Dr. Jo Skulavik, a skilled plastic and reconstructive surgeon, also well known as an artist and a perfectionist, prides herself on achieving a natural and properly proportioned and well balanced look for her patients. She is dedicated to attaining the best possible results while maintaining a philosophy of safety first. She has a true passion for her work, the quality of which has received wide recognition from people of all walks of life, who value natural results from their procedures of choice. In addtion to this Dr. Skulavik actively contributes to social projects and charity work.
After graduating with honours at the J.A.Commenius University, Dr. Skulavik completed her general surgery training in Prague. She completed her plastic surgery training and a rigorous residency at the department of Traumatology and Plastic Surgery at the Private Hospital Budweiss.
During and after her training she consistently worked on enhancing her skills in microsurgery. She has received national fame as the first female doctor to successfully undertake a free flap operation (free tissue transfer) in the Czech Republic.
Part of her training as Clinical Fellow in Plastic Surgery was spent abroad where she was exposed to cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery at the most prestigious medical centres in the world (Canada, Holland)

Dr. Skulavik holds operating privileges with the leading private hospitals in Vienna, such as the Privatklinik Döbling, the Rudolfinerhaus, the Wiener Privatklinik and the Goldenes Kreuz Privatklinik. For cost reasons and if not otherwise required by her patients, Dr. Skulavik performs all of her aesthetic and reconstructive surgery procedures at the Privatklinik Döbling. Dr. Skulavik provides her cosmetic surgery procedures at prices 40 to 50 % lower than those in the U.K.
Before and after the hospital stay, hotel accommodation can be arranged in a variety of hotels, including a four star hotel within walking distance from the Privatklinik Döbling. Airport shuttle transfers can also be provided.
Dr. Skulavik and her staff will be pleased to assist you in any way possible and all efforts will be made to assure that you feel safe and comfortable before, during and after your surgical procedure in Vienna.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Skulavik’s main interest is in art. She paints, draws and sculptures. She also enjoys all sorts of sport activities, Tai chi, literature, languages and travelling.
Dr. Skulavik speaks Slovak, Czech, Russian, English and German.
