Knee arthoscopy : Private surgery in the UK

Arthroscopy is a procedure used by orthopaedic surgeons to diagnose and treat knee problems. The surgeon uses a small  instrument called an arthroscope gives a clear view of the inside of the knee, and only requires that a small incision is made in the knee.

The arthroscope uses fibe optics to send pictures of the inside of your knee to a television monitor. Orthopaedic surgeons can then determine what the problem is, and at the same time may decide to insert other surgical instruments through small inciosions in your knee to remove or repair damaged tissues.
