European Obesity Care is a medical organisation with one mission: obesity surgery. Located in London, and with medical intake and information in several cities in the UK, we arrange for the surgery to take place in Belgium, a country renowned for its excellent healthcare.

After our screening and intake, appropriate surgical procedure can take place within just two to four weeks. Our selected hospitals are among the most experienced in the surgical treatment of obesity and we guide you from initial medical intake (which takes place in the UK) through to your aftercare.

We are always on hand to help you during your stay in Belgium and can assist with travel and any other issues through our own Belgian office.

We believe in the value of surgery in reducing weight. Surgery in combination with good aftercare gives the best results. But a great number of patients are not well informed about the type of surgery and the risks – sometimes they don’t have a proper medical intake and they don’t know what to expect.

We have considerable experience in holding full medical information meetings – medical intake procedures for obesity surgery and aftercare.These meetings are given in small groups, and our medical intake is always personal. The information takes 1 hour and afterwards we give you a printout of our presentation.

Obesity surgery is carried out in many countries in the world, however there are just a few countries with the same experience and success-rate as Belgium. Many Belgian hospitals have a very long tradition of surgical experience in obesity surgery and treatments. Belgium is also well known for excellent operation techniques such as laparoscopy (keyhole or minimally invasive surgery). Every Gastric Band or Gastric Bypass is done by laparoscopy (unless technical impossible) and this means a short stay in hospital.
