Elective Surgery Europe: Surgery in Belgium
Why Elective Surgery Europe?
Elective Surgery Europe (ESE) has built on the experience acquired by Management Resultants in a pilot project for the NHS carried out between 2003 and 2005 when nearly 500 British NHS patients were sent to Belgium for hip and knee replacement surgery. Management Resultants recruited up to 10 EPAL's (European Patient Advice and Liaison staff) to accompany those patients throughout their journey from the UK to the Belgian hospital, and back.
The Elective Surgery Europe advantage
Elective Surgery Europe continues this tradition of highly personalised 'customer care' in everything it does - their mission is to make patients feel as well cared for as if they were accompanied by relatives or friends throughout their trip.
Elective Surgery Europe offers comprehensive patient coaching and assistance, including:
- Booking pre-operative consultation surgery and hospital room;
- Picking you up at Antwerp (the preferred option, with regular flights to London City Airport) or Brussels Airport, or Brussels South Eurostar station, or any other agreed place, on your arrival in Belgium;
- Escorting you to the hospital and assisting you through admission and installation in your room;
- Visiting you in the hospital on the day following the surgery or on call, when assistance is required;
- Escorting you back to the airport or train station, or any agreed place, at the end of your stay in Belgium;
- Following-up with you by email or by telephone in the following weeks;
- Providing you with a detailed invoice for reimbursement by your insurance company (or the NHS).
The ESE team will help you organise every detail of your journey, from door to door if necessary. They are available 24/7 to respond to all of your questions in the shortest possible time. Elective Surgery Belgium really care!
All of ESE's services are performed by a dedicated team of EPAL's, not by taxi drivers or call centre operators. You are a member of the family!
The fact that their logistics base is in Belgium, that they have regular contacts with the hospitals and that they tailor their services to your individual needs, gives ESE a significant advantage over their foreign-based colleagues…Treatment abroad made easy!
The treatments on offer
ESE have chosen to focus on areas of treatment where the need is the highest (ie long waiting lists) and where Belgium has a real added value to offer (e.g. Minimally Invasive Surgery). Currently the focus is on:ESE is privileged to work with Dr. Karl Brabants and his orthopedie Middelheim team of orthopaedic surgeons at the AZ Middelheim hospitals, one of the best hospitals in Antwerp.
