Direct Line warns travel insurance customers over disclosing conditions

Holidaymakers with pre-existing health conditions must be honest with insurers when they buy travel cover, stresses insurer Direct Line.

 

If you omit or forget to disclose your condition to your insurer, perhaps because you fear that you will have to pay more for your insurance, you expose yourself and your family to the risk of not being covered while travelling.

 

Holidaymakers in the US could have most to lose, given the high cost of private medial treatment on the other side of the Atlantic.
