BUPA enters pension term assurance market

BUPA has entered the pension term assurance market with a product giving access to a helpline and medical advice.

Its Term Assurance With Tax Relief (TAWTR) cover gives policyholders 24/7 access to a helpline and independent expert medical advice from Best Doctors, if they are diagnosed with a terminal medical condition.

Steve Casey, product manager at Bupa Individual Protection, says "It is not just about paying a cheque when someone dies, but is about helping consumers with their lifestyle if they are critically ill."
