New plans to provide better sexual health services have been welcomed by the Brook Advisory Centres.
The voluntary sexual health service has described the opening of new centres as "brilliant" as tens of thousands of patients will benefit from easier access to advice and treatment.
Chief executive Simon Blake commented: "We know from the evidence that sexual health services are key to meeting priorities surrounding sexually transmitted diseases and teenage pregnancy."
Mr Blake noted that young people need access to someone they can trust when looking for sexual health advice.
"We know that some young people do talk to their parents or family and friends and that is crucial - we need to help parents be more confident in talking to their children," he said.
"But actually what they get from a sexual health service may well be advice and information right through to clinical assistance, contraception and STI screening, so it's not about an either/or, it's making sure all those different elements are in place," he added.
