Qatar's compulsory health insurance for expatriates

A draft of Qatar's compulsory health insurance plan for expatriates has gone before state cabinet for approval.

 

Services such as dental care, cardiac surgery, maternity and transplants are unlikely to be covered.

 

Qatar is following the lead of other Gulf states who have made it compulsory for all expat workers to have health insurance.
