Dr Alexander Schreiner
After completing his studies at Semmelweis University and several jobs assisting other dentists, Dr Alexander Schreiner started his own clinic, and has been doing so for over thirty years. Twelve of those years were spent running his own clinic in Frankfurt, Germany. But due to rising demand in the medical tourism field and a longing to be back home he decided to move back to Budapest.
He established SancoDental which currently consists of two clinics with a third to be acquired shortly, all operated by his highly talented and motivated team. State of the art technology and techniques have always been his passion and by incorporating these into his practice he has been able to lead the field in aesthetic dental reconstruction for the last 15 years.
Advanced international training, employing the best technicians, continuous retraining in the newest approved dental treatments and English and German language skills are just a fraction of their competence. State of the art dentures, telescopic crowns and fixed dentures, gnathology, onlays, inlays, overlays or veneers and primarily implants are all part of the therapy spectrum.

The dental clinics are easily accessible by car or by Budapest’s highly efficient public transportation system. Both clinics are located in the majestic city centre, with one of the clinics located by Moszkva square on the Buda side, and the other on the Pest side beside the Bazilika. Treatments offered
The team of highly qualified dentists is of the highest calibre and aim to deliver the best possible treatment. They are constantly undergoing new training in order to offer the latest dental procedures and equipment. All materials used in treatment have been carefully selected and tested to be of the highest standard and the best available in the market.
Dental prostheses
Modern dental technology is totally capable of producing fully fitted and a rock solid prostheses which are very hard to distinguish from natural teeth. Generally the prosthesis base is made from gum colored plastic fitted with industry made plastic teeth. A full prosthesis is placed straight onto the mucous of the jaw so that chewing pressure is directly transferred. It is held by the negative pressure and capillary strength between prosthesis and mucous together with stability caused by muscles, tongue, lips, cheeks and bite.
Crowns and bridges
Where there is extended damage to a tooth and fillings cannot be used for treatment or the tooth looks like its going to break apart, crowns are mostly the only way to save that tooth. For missing teeth in the teeth-line a bridge is normally used to close the gap.
Inlays and fillings
Filling therapy for molars has to be different from that of other teeth. When large defects have to be repaired inlay fillings are recommended. These may also be called Inlays, Onlays or Overlays and can be as large as a partial crown.
Dental implants
An implant consists of commercially pure titanium and it's three components, i.e. the implant, the abutment and the holding screw are combined with one another. SancoDental uses the CAMLOG implant system, one of the most modern and scientifically well-founded systems. The CAMLOG implant system which is made in Germany, is a product of the findings from basic research, more than 30 years of clinical and laboratory experience and state-of-the-art production technology. Because of its simple handling the treatment time is shorter with CAMLOG implants than it is with many other systems.

Extent of guarantee
In the unlikely event of a failure of the laboratory work SancoDental has agreed to meet the cost of the travelling and hotel accommodation expenses (meals are not included) of the patient for an additional trip to Budapest to carry out any remedial work. SancoDental will also cover all necessary dental and laboratory costs to rectify the problem. In the case of small adjustments you can use a dentist in your own country and forward your bill to SancoDental for reimbursement.
