Hand and wrist surgeons and specialists in the UK

Some orthopaedic surgeons specialise in disorders of the hand and wrist. They deal with conditions such as fractures, joint injuries, tendon injuries, nerve injuries, lacerations, wounds, arthritis / pain in the small joints of the hand and sports injuries to the hand. The International Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand (IFSSH) and the Federation of the European Societies for Surgery of the Hand (FESSH) was founded as a result of an increasing interest in hand and wrist surgery in the UK. Most UK hand and wrist specialists will belong to this organisation.
